National Conferences

Emergency Medicine is a fast moving field with many innovators and exciting developments. Taking part in national conferences every year of our residency both exposes residents to the advancements in the specialty as well as to the movers and shakers of EM. But it also helps residents showcase themselves through posters, sim wars, presentations and meetings with leaders from different parts of the country. Most importantly, it’s a great time to take a trip with your co-residents. The entire length of each conference is protected time (even on ICU!!) - usually ~4 days off (with a shift reduction!).

During intern year, our resident go to American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM).

During PGY-2 year, our residents attend the Essentials of EM (EEM).

Finally during PGY-3 year, we send our residents to ACEP Scientific Assembly where we also host a Rez Reunion attended by tens of alumni & faculty!

The residency will also fund (and give time off) for any other conference attended if you are presenting!
